Shooting Stars (Coed) Ages 6-7 [Calgary]

This program primarily focuses on Artistic Gymnastics including but not limited to: Vault, All Bars, Balance Beam, Parallel Bars & Floor Exercise. The Shooting Stars program will work primarily within steps 1-8 of the Ladder Program, which covers safety landings on all apparatus in the program, assesses strength, flexibility of the gymnast, and teaches proper body alignment. Focus will be on providing a strong foundation on basic gymnastic skills in a fun and creative way, to which more advanced skills will follow from.  Coaches will determine which step participants are on for all events by assessing the strength, flexibility, skills, and mental readiness of each individual gymnast.

Age exceptions are not available in this age group. Gymnasts registering in these classes must be a minimum of 6 years old by the first day of programming as the class structure will align with the maturation level of the child.
