Super Stars is designed to introduce children with disabilities to the fun and engaging sport of gymnastics. Each week, gymnasts will work one-on-one with a member of our coaching staff, moving through a variety of challenges, drills or interactive circuits in this semi-structured class. 

Coaches will adapt activities for their participant, creating an environment conducive to meeting the personal learning and developmental needs of each individual. All participants will be assisted through the session to achieving their own personal best as a gymnast.

Open only to children with disabilities ages 4+ requiring 1:1 coaching. 

UCalgary Active Living is a founding partner of the Calgary Adapted Hub powered by Jumpstart. Calgary Adapted Hub powered by Jumpstart was founded in 2020 to make sport and recreation more inclusive and accessible for children, youth, and families living with disabilities - whether physical, intellectual, sensory, or developmental from 4 - 24 years of age. 

Since then, we’ve grown from a small, passionate team to a city-wide collective that includes all 14 public recreation facilities and over 200 community partners. We work collaboratively to connect families to inclusive opportunities, build capacity through education and research, and create bold new programs that ensure all children and youth can experience the joy, connection, and lifelong benefits of sport and recreation.

In order to meet the unique needs of each participant, we ask each new member to complete an intake form so we can learn how to best coach your participant. We will be in touch prior to the program to assist with this process.
