Winter 2025 registration opens November 15.

Welcome to Fencing. The University of Calgary Fencing program is one of the oldest sport fencing organizations in Calgary. In 1963, Don Laszlo created the club so the University (then the University of Alberta, Calgary Campus) could enter a team in the Western Finals that year. The UCFC has been around in various forms since that time. The UCFC is not a varsity club, so we are open to everyone of all skill levels. We offer foil, sabre, and epee in both dry and electric. Our beginner classes provide structured teaching to the sport.

No equipment, no problem, the program will provide equipment to those that have their own. 

Minimum age is 13, please note youth will train with the adults. 

Program fee works out to approximately $20 per week for the main section.
