IMS Competitive Events are open to everyone, In-person or online! UofC Student status and/or Calgary-local address are not required to participate.

Join the devoted Esports community on UCalgary campus, with regular Intramural tournaments and leagues for various games!

Intramural (Competitive) Esports is a student-led program under Active Living with the goal of building a community for gamers across campus and beyond, as well as leveraging that community to help turn UCalgary into an esports powerhouse. Active Living's transition to a remote offering has given us the perfect opportunity to realize this vision! Help us build towards maintaining our on-campus gaming lounge, sending varsity teams to compete across Canada, and offering competitive scholarships for esports athletes.

How to Register

If you and your players don't have University of Calgary Active Living profiles, please either contact Client Services individually (403-220-7749, Active@ucalgary.ca), or send your full team's information (First/last name, email, phone number, (optional) address) to IMS via Imssport@ucalgary.ca (must contain "Esports" in subject line). This must be completed at least a week before your event begins.


1. Register as captain (Team) or individual on Esports Intramural Postings.
2. Input all members of your team into your roster. (Log into Active Living -> Name in top right -> Teams and rosters -> Input players with Active Living account-attached emails)
3. All team members must complete the online waiver. (Log into Active Living -> Name in top right -> Waivers)
4. Join the discords for news about future events:

Note: Some events may require separate registration pages IN ADDITION to this to determine igns and other event-related information. Any extra materials will be sent to you before your event, after registration closes.
