Intramurals Summer Open Basketball

Registration Opens April 1, 2025.
Registration & Playing Request Deadline TBD, 4:00pm
League Play Commences July.
Max. 24 Teams. Monday & Wednesday

Summer Format.
Teams will have 8 games throughout the season, including playoffs. 

Playing format: 4-10min stop time quaters, within 1.5hr time slot.  Games are 6:30pm & 8:00pm starts.  Teams are open status, meaning there is no gender minimums required. 

All leagues will have standings, officials and playoffs.  Play as a team or with other individuals. 

All division descriptions are a base guideline.
A Division – Players would have intermediate to advanced skills and a firm knowledge of the rules. They would have played competitively in high school, club level or with city leagues.
B Division – Players would have intermediate skills and knowledge of the rules. They would have played in Jr. or Sr. high school or with city leagues.
C Division - Players would have basic skills and knowledge of the rules.  They would have played in Jr. high school or Sr. High.
D Division - Players are relatively new to the sport and have basic skills and knowledge of the rules. Emphasis is on fun over competition.
Open Division - Players of various skill levele, no gender requirments. 

All teams are required to provide their own set of jersyes. (Competitive Leagues) prefered with numbers, this can be a set of pinnies, set of same colour shirts, or jerseys.  

*Must be 18 years of age or older and/or a current UCalgary student enrolled in spring/summer courses.*
