CTEP LAB

For all of CTEP (Clinical Translational Exericse Physiology) Labs' public services: Includes Advanced health and fitness assessment, VO2 max testing, BMR, BIA, etc. 

Joint Effort Personal Training

This training package provide 1.5, 3, 5, 10, or 20 hours of personal training sessions (see programs details for pricing).
The client will receive one-to-one training time with a certified instructor.

Learn To Lift

Learn lifting technique, proper form, injury prevention, and more in a small-group workshop! With a limited number of people in class, our certified personal trainer will guide you through the basics of lifting by focusing on technique, form and safety. Expect instruction on the core lifts, including squats, deadlifts, lunges, bench press, overhead press and rows while using barbells, dumbbells, and other equipment. 
Each session is 60 minutes in length and includes direction from one of our certified personal trainers.  
All U of C Personal Fitness Trainers have a nationally recognized personal training certification. Our team of professionals participate in ongoing training to ensure you are getting the most current information and training principles. 
*Intake forms and waivers MUST be completed prior to starting class

LIFT

Work on lifting technique, proper form, injury prevention, and more in this specialized class! Our certified personal trainer will guide you through technique, variations and progressions of lifting. Expect instruction on the core lifts, including squats, deadlifts, lunges, bench press, overhead press and rows while using barbells, dumbbells, and other equipment. Learn compound complex movements to help bring your lifting days to the next level. 
This workshop is for intermediate and advanced lifters looking to improve their technique and try new progressions in a safe, trainer-led environment.   

Mobility and Recovery

Enhance how you move using evidence-based techniques that support flexibility, joint health, and muscular function. This session, led by a Certified Personal Trainer, and combines static, dynamic, and PNF stretching with foam rolling, self-myofascial release, and balance-focused exercises to reduce stiffness, improve range of motion, and boost recovery.
No yoga — just functional movement science to help you move better with ease and confidence. Designed for everyone, from athletes to older adults.

One-On-One Personal Training

Our highly qualified Personal Trainers will provide expert guidance to help you achieve the results you want!

Online Program Design

Our highly qualified Personal Trainers will provide expert guidance to help you achieve the results you want!
Whether your goal is to improve your fitness, rehab from an injury, manage a chronic condition, or train for your specific sport, we're here to help!
Using the online platform Trainerize, our trainers will design a program specific for you to complete on your own. Log your workouts and interact with your trainer through the app.
*Online programs are one-month in length and can be renewed on a monthly basis.
*Option to add three personal training sessions for a one time reduced rate.*

Rehab & Fitness Personal Training

This training package provides one-to-one sessions for a person with a physical disability. All programs are specifically designed to meet the individual's goals, with elements of strength training, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Fitness Assessment

A Fitness Assessment is the foundation to any successful fitness journey.
it is also a useful and essential tool for monitoring and tracking your goals and progress.
Assessments include an analysis of musculo-skeletal and functional movement, flexibility and cardiovascular components of fitness, and can be tailored to your goals.

Personal Training - Buddy Training

Work toward your fitness goals with a partner! Supporting each other will not only make the sessions more fun and motivating, but it's more economical. You'll achieve the same results as you would with one-on-one training, for nearly half the price.

Personal Training KINETIX

Whatever your experience, age, and fitness level, Kinetix personal health and fitness services will help you achieve all of your health and fitness goals. All of Kinetix personal trainers have completed a Kinesiology degree program, as well as carry a nationally recognized fitness certification from the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology.

** Kinetix is located is located on the first floor of the Teaching Research and Wellness building on the Foothills Medical Centre site.

FREE Gym Orientation

Are you curious about the Fitness Centre or thinking about starting an exercise routine but need help determining where to begin? Join us for a FREE gym orientation exclusively for students! Our Fitness Attendant will give you a personalized tour, introducing you to the gym's equipment, areas, policies, and etiquette while answering any questions. You'll be greeted at the Fitness Centre entrance and guided through every aspect of the facility to help you get started on the right track.
