Program Schedule:
10 Weeks Scheduled
Max: 10 spots
Time: 5:00pm-6:00pm
Location: KNA 162 - Multipurpose Room

Program Format (but not limited to):
Designed for new to experience players.
Emphasis is on fun and sportsmanship, not competition.
Fun games
Correct coordination of hands and feet
Essential foot and blade work
Concepts of attack, counter-attack, defense, and right of way
Different strategies in foil fencing
Basic refereeing skills, vocabulary of fencing

Requirements:.
Proper gym attire.
Parents / Guardians are asked to wait outside of the gym during the program times.

Other Notes:
Epic Fencing will provide dedicated equipment to each fencer.
Instruction provided by Epic Fencing.

 

Fencing Beginner-Advanced

Fencing

Time: Sundays 2:15 PM - 4:15 PM
          Wednesdays 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: Gold Gym

Format & Rules:
Designed for new to experience players.
Emphasis is on fun and sportsmanship, not competition.
Fun games

No equipment, no problem, the program will provide equipment to those that do not have their own.

Fencing Sabre Intermediate-Advanced

Spring/Summer Fencing

Key Dates:
Registration Opens: April 1
Begins: May 9

Schedule:
Mondays: 19:00-21:00
Saturdays: 15:30-17:30
Location: Gold Gym

Format & Rules:
Sabre is designed for intermediate to experience players.
Emphasis is on fun and sportsmanship, not competition.
Sabre offered in both dry and electric.

Requirements:
No equipment, no problem, the program will provide equipment to those that have their own. 

Other Notes:
Participants must be 18+ or current UCalgary students enrolled in spring/summer courses.
